We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client''''s dynamic engineering team in Kitchener, ON region. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and analysis of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Manage projects, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and manufacturing engineers. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations. Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to gather requirements and resolve issues. Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, and documentation. Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems on-site. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5-8 years of experience in design and consulting for complex fire alarm and electrical systems in a variety of industry sectors including multi-unit residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and institutional. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligibility is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, or other mechanical systems.
