HVDC technology in particular is increasingly becoming a major player in this energy paradigm shift to enable large-scale renewable energy generation, such as offshore wind or large interconnectors.As an Engineer HVDC, you will closely work with regional and global HVDC and power transmission experts within Jacobs to support and/or lead ongoing HVDC related projects as well as business development and proposal support with a variety of clients including renewable developers, transmission owner/developers as well as utilities.The successful candidate shall demonstrate related experience and technical knowledge in the field of electrical high-voltage engineering, with emphasis on HVDC, through past experience with consulting engineering firms, developers and/or direct exposure to OEMs. Prior knowledge of electrical design/studies, functional/technical specifications, and/or FAT/SAT commissioning related to HVDC systems is preferred. Knowledge of the offshore wind market will also be seen favorably.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
