This position would be based out of our Central Office in North Battleford, with travel to surrounding communities as needed.Join our dynamic team of experienced SLPs located at the Living Sky School Division centrally located in beautiful Saskatchewan. The SLP team offers flexible caseload management with ongoing and frequent collaboration. Supervision and mentorship opportunities are available for new grads for CSASK and ASHA. We strive to create a team environment that is energetic and welcoming.The Successful Candidate Will Be Able ToPerform diagnostic assessments of students to evaluate strengths, weaknesses and areas for intervention to treat individual students communication disorders (speech, language, phonological awareness)Understand and support the Response to Intervention (RTI) ModelDevelop a treatment plan based on evidence-based practiceMaintain records on the evaluation, progress, and discharge of studentsRecommend suitable materials to schools and parentsCollaborate with other professionals (e.g., occupational therapist, educational psychologist, audiologist, ASD team, etc.)Consult with teachers to support assessment findings and assist with individual program planningAdvocate on behalf of students with communication disorders and populations that are at riskPractice within CSASK Professional Code of EthicsApplicants must possess a masters degree in Speech & Language Pathology and be eligible for membership in CSASK. Experience working with children and youth in an educational setting would be an asset, as well as an aptitude towards working with assistive technology.
