Join us to shape the future of infrastructure. Job Description Senior Project Planner Hydroelectric Project, New Brunswick (Fredericton, NB). This role requires two weeks per month on site, with travel and lodging expenses covered. The Senior Project Planner leads planning and scheduling across multidisciplinary industrial projects, developing, managing, and analyzing schedules from feasibility through execution. Duties include earnedvalue management, progress measurement, trend analysis, and reporting to support proactive project management. Key Responsibilities 1. Planning & Scheduling Leadership Develop and maintain fully integrated Level13 project schedules using PrimaveraP6 and/or Microsoft Project. Establish WBS, coding structures, activity sequencing, and resource loading in accordance with project requirements. Lead baseline schedule creation and manage schedule change control processes throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct criticalpath analysis, float assessments, and scenario modelling to support project decisionmaking. 2. Progress Measurement & Reporting Implement progress measurement systems, Scurves, dashboards, and weekly/monthly reporting frameworks. Analyze planned vs actual performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare and issue routine planning deliverables: progress reports, lookahead schedules, manpower histograms, productivity analysis, and schedule forecasts. 3. Earned Value & Performance Analysis Perform Earned Value Management analysis and provide insights on cost/schedule performance indicators (SPI, CPI, etc.). Coordinate with cost control teams to align schedule progress with budget and cost forecasts. Support trend management, change management, and impact analysis of variations and scope changes. 4. MultiDiscipline Coordination Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractors to ensure accurate representation of project activities. Review and validate contractors schedules, performance reports, and progress updates for compliance. Facilitate planning meetings, schedule risk reviews, and coordination sessions with internal teams and clients. 5. Project Controls Systems & Procedures Develop and implement project controls procedures, planning guidelines, and progress measurement methodologies. Support automation of planning and reporting processes using advanced Excel tools, dashboards, and project controls systems. Ensure adherence to corporate and client project controls frameworks, safety standards, and quality requirements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline. 8 years of planning & scheduling experience on EPC/EPCM projects within energy and infrastructure. Proven experience as Lead/Senior Planner on largescale, multidisciplinary capital projects. Advanced proficiency in PrimaveraP6 (Project Manager) and Microsoft Project. Strong background in EVM, schedule forecasting, change management, and project controls methodologies. Handson experience in baseline development, contractor oversight, schedule integration, and interface coordination across multiple contracts. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (dashboards, automation, macros, reports). Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Willing and able to travel and spend 2 weeks a month at Fredericton office. Preferred Qualifications 15+ years of planning & scheduling experience in EPC/EPCM energy and infrastructure projects. Strong leadership and stakeholder coordination. Excellent analytical and problemsolving capabilities. High attention to detail and schedule accuracy. Ability to work under pressure in fastpaced, multicontract environments. Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Bilingual French/English. Additional Information Sponsorship for obtaining a Canadian work permit is not available for this position. Compensation: $130,000 $180,000 CAD/year based on education, qualifications, experience, and location.
