Role Overview The Business Development Team Lead is responsible for carrying a team quota, coaching, developing, and scaling a high-performing SDR team that fuels Trelliss revenue engine. You will lead by exampleprospecting strategically, refining outbound messages, supporting qualification standards, and collaborating closely with Marketing and Account Executives to ensure a healthy, highquality pipeline. What youll do Team Leadership & Coaching Lead, mentor, and coach a team of SDRs to consistently exceed pipeline generation and meeting goals. Conduct regular 1:1s, call reviews, and performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement. Develop onboarding, training materials, and best practices for new SDRs. Foster a culture of accountability, hustle, positivity, and proactivity. Pipeline & Process Ownership Own and optimize the topoffunnel processensuring the team generates a predictable, highquality pipeline for the AE team. Partner closely with Account Executives to align qualification criteria and improve conversion rates. Collaborate with Marketing to refine ICP targeting, messaging, and campaign execution. Monitor team activity metrics, outreach quality, and meeting outcomes to ensure operational excellence. Identify performance gaps and make datadriven recommendations to improve productivity. HandsOn Contribution Model worldclass outbound behaviour by actively prospecting, testing new channels, and refining messaging strategies. Step in to support SDRs with strategic accounts, complex qualification calls, and highvalue opportunities. Provide insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and prospect feedback to Sales Leadership. CrossFunctional Collaboration Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure SDRs deeply understand Trelliss value proposition and the needs of Amazon/eCommerce sellers. Communicate feedback loops that help optimize packaging, messaging, and gotomarket strategy. Who you are A motivational leader with high standards and a track record of developing talent. Confident outbound prospector who loves cracking into new accounts and teaching others to do the same. Qualifications 25+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales roles. Previous experience managing or mentoring SDRs strongly preferred. Proven track record of generating highquality pipeline in a SaaS environment. Experience in eCommerce or Amazonrelated technology is a major plus. Handson expertise with outbound tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.). Strong understanding of ICP development, lead qualification, and outbound workflows.
