Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care required to assist patients in meeting their physical, social and psychological needs in accordance with established NH and BVDH policies and procedures. Practices as a member of the nursing team.Northern Health Regional Perinatal Training Program DetailsThere are 4 training positions available for 2025/2026.Northern Health provides placement support and funding for tuition, textbooks, and travel expenses for clinical placements, as required.Learners should expect to make a 4-6 month commitment for this education, which includes online and in-person learningAdditional study time, outside of scheduled hours, will be required to successfully complete the programFlexibility for practicums is necessaryApplicants must successfully complete the education program prior to working in the departmentUpon successful completion of the education program, Northern Health requires an eighteen (18) month return of service in a regular position in the area of nursing applicable to the education program.Qualified applicants will be considered first for specialty positions.
