This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about working in paediatrics, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and has a strong desire for professional growth and skill development.BenefitsEngagement with multidisciplinary teams in rehab and medical disciplinesOpportunities for professional development and continued educationCollaborative and supportive work environmentLarge and well-equipped physiotherapy session spacesComprehensive administrative assistance for schedule managementRoom for career advancement and skill developmentParticipation in representing the clinic at community eventsResponsibilitiesPaediatric Patient CareProvide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and intervention to children with movement dysfunction related to neurological or musculoskeletal conditions.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each childs unique needs.Provide therapeutic interventions focusing on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and motor skills.Follow an evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment.Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.Patient and Family EducationProvide clear education to patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home care programs and strategies to support the childs overall well-being.Collaborate with caregivers to ensure continuity of care and promote a positive and supportive environment for the child.Collaborative Multidisciplinary TeamworkCollaborate effectively with Boomerang Healths growing multidisciplinary team, including physicians and a wide array of rehabilitation clinicians, to ensure holistic and coordinated care.Collaborate with community partners.Professional DevelopmentDemonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development within the field of paediatric physiotherapy.Engage in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest research and advancements in paediatric physical therapy.Take advantage of opportunities for mentorship within the organization to foster personal and professional growth.QualificationsMasters/Baccalaureate in Physical Therapy.Previous experience or strong interest in paediatric assessment/treatment.Physiotherapy Residents accepted; mentorship is available.Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.Must carry professional liability insurance.Experience/SkillsProficiency in assessment and providing evidence-based orthopaedic and neurodevelopmental interventions for infants/toddlers, children, and adolescents.Experience working in a community-based or outpatient-based physiotherapy setting preferable.Comfortable working with children aged newborn to 18 years.Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and to interact with children and adults.Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills.Efficient time management and organizational skills requiredRequires excellent oral and written communication skills in English.If you are a dedicated paediatric physiotherapist who is excited about contributing to the well-being of children, working in a collaborative team, and advancing your career, we invite you to apply.
