In this role, you will lead national quality and food safety standards across beer and RTD manufacturing to protect product integrity and minimize risk. You will oversee quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while managing a team of three, including Consumer Relations and Microbiology specialists.**Key Responsibilities****Quality Strategy and Leadership*** Define and implement the corporate quality strategy to optimize manufacturing processes and achieve business objectives.* Develop and lead the national food safety strategy, ensuring each facility maintains a compliant food safety plan.* Align short- and long-term goals with quality strategies; prepare annual budgets and business plans.* Communicate quality performance and issues to senior management and foster a culture of continuous improvement.**Systems, Standards, and Compliance*** Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards programs across all breweries and contract producers.* Oversee the companys quality and food safety management systems, ensuring documentation integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.* Lead the development and enhancement of quality audit processes.* Review product labels to ensure regulatory compliance* Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all requirements, including recall and HACCP processes.**Performance Monitoring and Risk Management*** Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and mitigate risks; provide quarterly reports to the National Management Team.* Manage consumer complaint processes and ensure timely resolution.* Conduct site visits with Regional QA Managers to assess compliance and performance against standards.**Team Development and Continuous Improvement*** Provide leadership and coaching to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and addressing performance gaps.* Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity.* Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and create annual development plans for self and team.* Provide technical advice/ support to the breweries and regional QA teams as required (e.g., non-conforming product situations, withdrawal/recall recommendations, policy implementation/changes, audit corrective actions, identification and escalation of significant QA issues)**Skills and Qualifications*** Bachelors degree in science or related discipline.* Minimum 7 years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a brewery environment, with at least 3 years in a management role.* Expertise in food safety, HACCP principles, product labelling standards and quality assurance best practices.* Strong leadership skills to manage multi-location, multidisciplinary teams and drive change.* Proficiency in brewing industry laboratory equipment and procedures (microbiological, analytical, packaged product) preferred.* Excellent communication skills for reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.* Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities for complex quality issues.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).* Ability to communicate in French considered an asset* Working knowledge of statistical principles and tools.* Experience with document control systems and continuous improvement methodologies.* Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.**Work Conditions*** Combination of office and manufacturing environments; approximately 20% of time spent in facilities.* Travel required within Canada.**But et impact**Chez les Brasseries Sleeman, la qualit et linnovation sont au cur de nos valeurs. titre de directeur(trice) national(e) de la qualit, vous serez responsable de llaboration et de la mise en uvre des normes de qualit et de scurit alimentaire lchelle canadienne, afin dassurer lintgrit de nos produits et de minimiser les risques. Veuillez noter que ce poste exige une prsence au bureau de Guelph cinq jours par semaine.**Responsabilits****Stratgie de qualit et leadership*** Dfinir et appliquer la stratgie de qualit de lentreprise pour optimiser les procds de fabrication et atteindre les objectifs daffaires.* laborer et piloter la stratgie nationale de scurit alimentaire, en assurant la conformit de chaque tablissement.* Prparer les budgets annuels et les plans daffaires, en alignant les objectifs court et long terme avec les stratgies de qualit.* Communiquer les rsultats et enjeux de qualit la direction et promouvoir une culture damlioration continue.**Systmes, normes et conformit*** Mettre en place et maintenir des procdures dassurance qualit et des programmes de normalisation dans toutes les brasseries et chez les producteurs partenaires.* Superviser les systmes de gestion de la qualit et de la scurit alimentaire, en assurant la conformit documentaire et lamlioration continue.* Diriger le dveloppement et lamlioration des processus daudit qualit.* Vrifier la conformit rglementaire des tiquettes de produits.* Agir comme principal interlocuteur auprs des organismes de rglementation, notamment pour les rappels et le HACCP.**Surveillance de la performance et gestion des risques*** Analyser les indicateurs de qualit pour identifier les tendances et attnuer les risques; produire des rapports trimestriels la direction nationale.* Grer les plaintes des consommateurs et assurer leur rsolution rapide.* Effectuer des visites de sites avec les responsables rgionaux de lassurance qualit pour valuer la conformit et la performance.**Dveloppement dquipe et amlioration continue*** Offrir du leadership et du coaching lquipe, en favorisant latteinte des objectifs organisationnels et en comblant les carts de performance.* Identifier et piloter des initiatives damlioration continue pour accrotre lefficacit et rduire la complexit.* Se tenir jour sur les meilleures pratiques du secteur et laborer des plans de dveloppement annuels pour soi-mme et lquipe.* Fournir un soutien technique aux brasseries et aux quipes #J-18808-Ljbffr
