As Videographer & Editor you will aid in the creation of creative projects that build pride and represent our Bank and executives in their best light. Working closely with the team and communications partners, you will provide fullservice creative production for internal and external communications, keeping commercial realities, budgets and business objectives in focus. Responsibilities Champion a customerfocused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Effectively manage preproduction and production of creative projects for Scotiabank Group stakeholders by meeting with stakeholders, analysing user requests, establishing project goals. Prepare and execute shoots including lighting, sound recording and other requirements on location and in studio with a variety of styles based on context. Coach oncamera talent to ensure confident, authentic delivery, providing guidance to align with the creative vision and organisational objectives. Ensure optimal use of time, talent and resources to deliver highimpact creative work. Discover and adapt new production technologies and industry best practices to maximise efficiency. Work closely with the team to ensure all assigned projects meet Bank brand standards, are delivered on time and within budget, and are produced costefficiently. Create impact through professional, storydriven video editing by crafting compelling visual stories, refining pacing, integrating graphics, music and sound design. Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate feedback efficiently, manage revisions, follow timelines and communicate changes to critical users, including senior management. Organise and manage media assets, project files, metadata and version control to ensure smooth workflows and easy access for team members while maintaining confidentiality. Troubleshoot project issues and resolve conflicts, assessing options and determining appropriate solutions. Broadening creative and technical capabilities and staying current with professional video standards, concepts and technologies. Understand risk appetite and culture and consider them in daytoday activities and decisions. Actively pursue efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adequate daytoday controls for operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Countries / regions / business units supported: Global scope, majority of the creative development & execution will be Canada based. 1+ direct reports and supervisory role with students and consultants. Number of projects: Approximately 200 projects in FY2025. Financial dimensions: Budget administration varies by project. Skills Degree in Broadcasting, Film, Video production or related studies. 5+ years industry experience as videographer & editor in professional broadcasting, studio, inhouse or agency environment. Passion for storytelling and communication with a wellrounded understanding of videography, video editing, visual composition. Proven ability to make creative and stylistic choices to capture audience interest. Solid footing on balance between creative expression and commercial reality. Advanced technical knowledge including video and audio acquisition, sound design, colour correction, digital technology and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve). Advanced skills in filming, lighting and a creative eye across various styles. Demonstrates a learning mindset that seeks better, more innovative results. Ability to work on complex projects collaboratively and independently, within tight deadlines, adapting to changing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain project elements to external suppliers and internal groups. Confident interpersonal skills with client focus and the ability to work with clients, peers and staff at all levels. Working Conditions The position is carried out in a recording studio environment with low risk of injury or ill health from physical or environmental factors. Moderate domestic travel or offsite work may be required. Nonstandard hours are common. The environment is fastpaced with frequent changes in priorities and activities across concurrent projects, which may lead to occasional high stress. Position requires use of a MAC for 3237 hours per week under normal working conditions. Concentration is needed to review and edit video and audio content.
