The OHN identifies, manages or eliminates risk to employees by developing and coordinating health and safety programming in compliance with legal, industry and leading practice standards. Services are based upon regional and individual needs. The OHN is knowledgeable in occupational health and safety, occupational screening, environmental health, and human relations. The OHN requires excellent communication and administration skills in the provision of occupational health services to a variety of stakeholders.Human Resources Exemption: NoExperience- Minimum 1 year experience in Occupational Health or Public Health NursingEducation- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)Other Education and Training- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HCP Certificate (CPR-HCP)- Occupational Health Nursing certificate is acceptable- Diploma: Occupational Health Nursing/ability to complete w/in 3 yrs of employ.- Nursing diploma is acceptable- If no OHN diploma, Occup.
