Veterinarian, DVM Location: Calgary, AB Department: Emergency Full-time fixed-term Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre (CARE) is welcoming a fulltime Summer Contract Emergency Veterinarian to add to our growing team. This could turn into a fulltime permanent position come fall, pending the applicant. As a fullservice emergency and referral hospital, our emergency service treats an exciting and diverse caseload, inspiring lifelong learning and growth. Our Emergency Veterinarians work closely with the Specialty services to deliver the highest standard of medicine. There are endless opportunities for professional development, including teaching of interns and UCVM students, formal mentorship of interns, inhouse continuing education events, and opportunities to assume other ancillary roles and committee positions. A full complement of onsite diagnostics includes digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, inhouse lab, endoscopy, CT, and MRI. Schedule: All of our Emergency Veterinarians rotate equally through day, evening, and night shifts regardless of tenure. As our ideal Candidate, you have: A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice.
