Accounting Manager Work Setup: Onsite (In-office) About the Role: Are you the kind of accounting professional who thrives on both the big picture and the fine details? In this role, you will lead a small team, manage financial operations, prepare reports, and ensure the day-to-day accounting processes run smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and related transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support the annual budgeting process by providing historical data and working papers. Assist with year-end audits by ensuring records and systems meet auditor expectations. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and recommend financial policies and procedures. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, cheque requests, bank deposits, purchase orders, payroll support, and invoicing. Perform month-end reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities. Audit accounting records and manage general expense controls. Assist with setup and maintenance of customer and vendor accounts. Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of accounting staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience: Required: Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years leading a team in a financial management role. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of GAAP and currency conversion. Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Preferred: CPA designation (completed or in progress). Experience in freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics. Familiarity with UFOS Transport and Warehouse Software. Why This Opportunity?
