Work site environment At heights Outdoors Responsibilities Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Clean and prepare surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Additional information Transportation/travel information Own vehicle Work conditions and physical capabilities Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Work under pressure Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Personal suitability Client focus Dependability Excellent oral communication Flexibility Reliability Team player Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Health care plan Vision care benefits
