About This Role The Director of Finance is a pivotal leadership role within this high-growth organization. This position is well suited to a seasoned finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building scalable financial infrastructure to support ongoing expansion. Reporting to senior executive leadership, the Director of Finance will lead financial strategy, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, and overall financial stewardship. Acting as a strategic business partner, this individual will provide insight, structure, and discipline to support informed decision-making and long-term performance. Core Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Execution: Lead the full finance scope, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, and FP&A. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting across multiple legal entities. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth, profitability, and expansion objectives. Establish and monitor key financial and operational KPIs to support planning and accountability. Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and capital planning. Strategic Partnership & Growth Support Partner closely with executive leadership to deliver financial insight, scenario analysis, and decision support. Support growth initiatives, including international expansion, through financial modeling and due diligence. Ensure compliance with tax, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. Systems, Controls & Scalability Optimize ERP and accounting systems to support a growing, multi-entity organization, while driving automation and process improvement. Build and continuously improve scalable finance processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks. People Leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who enjoys being hands-on while operating strategically, and who takes pride in serving as a trusted advisor to a growing business. About The Candidate The successful candidate is a senior finance leader with strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Key Qualifications CPA designation; equivalent senior finance leadership experience will be considered. 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including leadership roles. Proven expertise in financial strategy, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience supporting multi-entity organizations; exposure to multi-currency environments is a strong asset. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, risk management, and governance. Experience with tax compliance and working knowledge of tax regulations is highly desirable. Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, accounting software, and MS Excel. Exposure to ASPE (Canadian GAAP for private enterprises) is an asset. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams while partnering effectively with senior executives. Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. A self-starter who takes ownership, anticipates business needs, and addresses challenges proactively. This is a fully on-site position, based at our clients head office in the Tri-Cities area. The successful candidate is expected to work on-site five days per week. Compensation & Benefits Our client believes in rewarding their team with not just competitive pay, but a workplace that supports their overall growth and wellbeing. This role comes with a compensation range of $130,000-150,000 , along with paid vacation, and extended health and dental benefits.
