Safety must recognize, identify, analyze and measure risk as well as implement methods, processes, education and training to minimize risk and raise awareness. This includes managing the risk and liability of the company by ensuring standards and practices meet or exceed those required by regulatory agencies and by Bisons highway safety program, equipment safety program, health and safety program, and immediate and/or emergency response tasks strategies.**Specific Responsibilities include:*** Conduct oneonone safety counseling sessions to address driver behavior and reinforce a strong safety culture.* Identify root causes of unsafe actions, assess driver attitude, and provide targeted coaching or training.* Research and develop countermeasures to reduce accidents, violations, and inspection failures.* Provide guidance, information, and recommendations on all safetyrelated matters.* Participate in assessments, performance reviews, log audits, accident investigations, and inspection interviews.* Complete accurate safety documentation, including incident reports and progressive discipline records.* Maintain positive working relationships with enforcement agencies and support other safety projects as assigned.**Our Ideal Candidate will possess:*** Direct experience in the transportation industry is required.* Working knowledge of international safety and compliance requirements.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Accurate and efficient record-keeping skills.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.* Proficiency with computers and industry-related software.* Over-the-road driving experience is considered an asset.**Shift:** Tuesday to Saturday, 09:00 - 17:30.**This job is classified under NOC Code:** 22232.**Why Bison:** Thrive in a supportive team that provides coaching and training to help develop your skills and progress your career Dispersed work environments that promote a healthy work-life balance Meaningful and impactful work and projects with an essential service provider Join our engaging Wellness Program & extracurricular sports teams**About Bison:** Celebrating over 50 years in Business Active in giving back through Corporate Social Responsibility and Charitable Giving Committed to environmental sustainabilityBison Transport is committed to Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace.Background and suitability for a career in Transportation is wide ranging.
