We are a collaborative and diverse team within ITS with the mission tocarry outthe roadmap of an effective regulatory IT platform to meet thepresent and futurerequirementsin supportof the Bank of Canadas role in supervising payment service providers (PSPs). To learn more about our core function you can visit: Retail payment supervision: Information for everyone Led by the Director of Retail Payments Supervision, you will join a dynamic and highly skilled team working together to design, develop, and support our regulatory IT platform,built on theMicrosoftPower Platform. Further, you will have the full support of your leader and teammates to enhance your skills, experiment, and further your career through our customizable Learning & Development programs across various domains (IT, Programming, Architecture, Analytics, etc.) and relevant certifications. What you will do As a Senior developer, you will be responsible for developing new features and maintaining existing components for the Banks RPS regulatory IT platform using the Microsoft technology stack, comprised of Power Pages (Portal), Model Driven Apps, Custom PCF controls, SharePoint, Power Automate Flows, Azure services (Function Apps, APIM) and multiple system integrations.Support for the Banks internal Enterprise CRM platform (also developed on the Power Platform) is also within the scope of this role. More specifically, you will: Contribute to the development of the Power Platform application and peripheral technologies Analyze,designand implement enhancements to meet business requirements Maintain collaborative relationships with internal clients and external counterparts Perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and make recommendations for correction Create working procedures and documentation on solutions and populate knowledge databases,testingplans and results Apply a continuous improvement mindset, byidentifyinginnovative waysof doing or providing services to our clients; changing or reconfiguring approaches to improve efficiency and capacity Ensure compliance with audit requirements during the support and maintenance of applications Provide second and third-line support, including evening and weekend paid overtime workas required What you need to succeed You have a strong attention to detail with the ability to rank tasks per priority, meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks concurrently. You also communicate effectively andproactivelywhilemaintainingco-operative working relationships with the other project members and IT teams. In addition, you have: Experience building custom APIs and Plug-ins Proven experience with C# programming language and .NET Framework Proven experience with web portal development in a Microsoft or equivalent environment Experience working with business analysts or user experience (UX) designers to creatively translate business requirements and designs into interactive web portal functionality Experience developing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and its integration services Experiencewithand understanding of source control systems, including advancedbranchingand merging techniques (e.g., TFS, SVN, or CVS) Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity, while working flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues Hands-on experience withcode testing and deployment Experience with developing and using AI-based tools, including test automation Experience in writing programming scripts using PowerShell Nice-to-have Experience with Liquid or equivalent templating engine Your education and experience Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the proficiencies and skills for the role. Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051to $130,649 (job grade 17) The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations.Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
