We pride ourselves on promoting talent when we see it, and work with each professional to define what success means for them.Your rolePrepare and analyze financial statements and reportsMaintain general ledgers and reconcile accountsPost journal entries and update client accounting softwareCalculate fixed assets, depreciation, and prepare payroll chequesHandle bookkeeping and payroll (staff/client), bank deposits, A/P, and client paymentsPrepare T1s, T4s, GST, and other compliance returnsMaintain financial records and bookkeeping filesGenerate statistical and accounting reportsRespond to payroll inquiries (phone/in-person)Perform clerical tasks as neededCollaborate with peers and management on file planning and deadlinesProvide attentive, personalized client serviceWhat you bring to the tableThe successful candidate will have:at least 2 years experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedurespayroll designation & experience considered an asset.2 years experience in Bookkeeping2 years experience in Personal tax preparation is mandatory.2 years experience in QuickBooks Online is required.Tech Stack experience including integration of apps is considered an asset.Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks online are required.experience in preparation of Notice to Reader statements would be an asset.experience in the management of multiple government contracts and knowledge of Provincial and Federal financial reporting requirements would be an asset.an understanding of the Provincial and Federal bidding systems.excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade such skills, as requiredIn addition to these, the ideal candidate will have:Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting prioritiesStrong time management and workflow planningEffective oral and written communicationProficient in Windows XP, Excel, Word; strong analytical and math skillsKnowledge of CRA regulations, labor standards, WCB, and GSTExcellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with FOIP and handling confidential informationProven problem-solving abilitiesTechnical Skills:Experience with CaseWare, iFirm, Practice Engine and Karbon are considered an asset.Whats in it for you?Rewarding opportunities at every stage of your careerChallenging and varied assignmentsCompetitive compensation, incentives, and rewardsProfessional networking and mentoring programsA leadership team committed to your success.To engage with leading experts and colleagues across Canada and the worldTo contribute to your community and unique Be True experiencesThe opportunity to influence tomorrow for clients, community and the profession.Where youll work:Job type:Permanent, Full-timeMonday to FridayWhen you join Baker Tilly, you become part of something biggeran ambitious, forward-thinking company that puts people first.
