Position Responsibilities As our Business Systems Manager, youll provide direct leadership and supervision to a talented group responsible for supporting and optimizing our business systems. Youll foster a collaborative, inclusive environment, encourage continuous learning, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of six technical staff (Business Systems Specialists, IT Analyst, CRM Specialist, ERP Analyst) responsible for enterprise applications. Set clear expectations, assign and review work, and manage the full cycle of performance management. Advise departments and senior leadership on technology strategies, best practices, and emerging trends. Oversee the selection, integration, and utilization of business applications, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with organizational needs. Serve as a subject matter expert on business application selection, integration, and utilization. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging professional growth and continuous improvement. Support informed decisionmaking and effective implementation of IT solutions across the organization. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and health & safety standards. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in business systems management, IT, or related technical leadership roles. Proven experience supervising technical teams and managing enterprise business applications (ERP, CRM, etc.). Strong understanding of system integration, project management, and business process improvement. Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills. Experience advising senior leadership and collaborating across departments. Knowledge of current technology trends, best practices, and relevant legislation. Other Required Skills Handson experience with coding, enterprise databases, applications, networks, and IT security. Strong knowledge of current software, hardware, and IT trends in municipal or government organizations. Progressive experience leading IT projects and managing staff. Experience managing vendors and coordinating crossfunctional teams. Business analysis and technical requirements definition. Evaluating proposals and vendor solutions. User interaction, presentations, and interviewing skills. Strategic planning and contribution to IT strategy. Preferred For This Job Experience in a municipal government setting. Hours The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
