Our Ontario Transportation Group is looking for a Project Manager ready to join our growing Canadian Operations in Markham, Whitby, Mississauga, or Toronto. The Transportation Group works with provincial, regional, and local municipal transportation agencies, their contracting partners, and clients on highways, roads, bridges, transit, multimodal infrastructure, and transportation planning projects. Candidates Career Path This role is intended for an upcoming Project Manager who wants to lead highway planning and preliminary design projects and grow into greater project leadership, business development, staff management, and operations management. Our Hybrid Work Model Work in a hybrid culture, combining office collaboration with flexibility. Join us in office three days a week. Responsibilities Lead highway planning projects for MTO and similar clients as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager. Own all aspects of project management from proposal to closeout, including teams, subconsultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Coach and mentor junior staff, providing technical leadership. Collaborate in small and large teams, integrating other engineering disciplines and design staff to produce highquality deliverables. Manage staff performance, workload, and professional development. Promote best practices and leadership across transportation projects. Support business development, including capture planning and leading proposals. Contribute to business development strategy, enhancing client relationships and identifying opportunities. Deliver transportation solutions such as corridor planning, preliminary design, green infrastructure strategies, environmental assessment, intersection and interchange design, digital delivery, ITS solutions, highway and bridge rehabilitation, and roundabout design. Drive highquality results, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance. What Youll Bring to the Team Postsecondary degree in Civil Engineering. Ontario P.Eng. designation required (or eligible). 10+ years of experience in design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects, including project management experience. Experience working with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Experience with other highway agencies and municipal transportation clients is an asset. Experience managing design projects in collaborative models (e.g., Progressive DesignBuild, Alliance, CMGC) is an asset. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven track record in developing, mentoring, and leading technical staff.
