Typical Day in RoleMonitor the system, and act upon system and application automated alertsPerform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of software, o/s, and database issues (ex. correcting installation, configuration, or data problems)Plan and perform software installation, configuration, upgrade and patchingPlan and perform database configuration, maintenance, upgrade and patchingPerform and manage system and database backupsPerform manual switch to redundant system / database components, in case of system failureProvide on-site database and system supportMonitor, collect statistical information, and provide reporting on capacity and system performanceBased on statistics, make recommendations to maintain and improve capacity and system performanceQualifications (Must Have)8+ years Database Administration experience with MSSQL (combined experience with the following 2022/2019/2017/2016/2014/2012)8+ years experience in providing technical support, covering database administration and operations to include monitoring maintenance capacity, performance monitoring/planning and incident/problem troubleshooting and resolution5+ years of Experience with SQL Always-On, mirroring, clustering and data replication, and experience with MSSQL components (SSRS/SSAS/SSIS/Fulltext/Polybase/R).3+ years of Experience with application side tuning versus server-side tuning5+ years of Experience with Windows server 2012/2016/2019Nice-To-Have SkillsExperience with Windows 10/8/7 client operating systems.Experience with VB, C#, Power shell, Azure CloudExperience with use of PostgreSQL and Linux, kshExperience providing DBA support for Public Cloud MSSQL offerings such as Azure MI, Azure SQL Databases, and GCP Cloud SQL MSSQL.Soft Skills RequiredStrong Communication skillsteam playerTime management skillsEducationBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required #J-18808-Ljbffr
