Shop Manager The shop manager guides their shop team in adherence to Refinery House policy and procedures, and in fact influences further development of them as we all get better at doing what we do. Beyond encouraging staff to keep the stores neat and tidy, orderly and ready for customers - they lead the team in being a safe and pleasant place to work. Here are some details of how Hours: 2-6hrs expected weekly Pay: hourly $25 + - dependent on experience and other roles within the company Facilitates Schedule requests When a request for time off or a switch comes in, Evaluate schedule (is anyone else off?) Block time off on salon software and adjust appointments as needed in conjunction with admin and stylist via to-do list. Adjust schedule so that no one is working alone Approve request in bamboo Collaborates with Regional manager to create master schedule &/or provides feedback on proposed schedules or current schedules Ensures stats are marked off at beginning of year Facilitates Level Price Adjustments in Salon Software via todo for admin Briefly review salon schedule for errant appointments or open blocks weekly Ensures order process is facilitated weekly according to inventory and order process via assistant Manager On-call for Stylist & Shop SOS Oversees repair issues and liaisons with repair and maintenance people Create and monitor general cleaning duties with help of assistant manager Facilitate NEW Staff profiles & create schedule + assign services based on appropriate level alongside Regional Manager and Admin Facilitates Staff meetings (3 per year) Passes on quarterly points and back bar orders/inventory to Regional Manager Is part of the interviewing, hiring and shop onboarding process Alert regional manager to cleaning deficiencies, inventory issues or cultural issues Responsible for ensuring that things that need to be are .communicated to their team Mentors team and facilitates annual WPR''s with regional manager Receives notice, and ensures facilitation of termination, leaves and exit interview for stylists Checks inventory twice a year Facilitates staff team events, ensures birthdays and other significant team milestone moments are acknowledged Participates in marketing events and encourages team participation Checks in with regional manager bi-weekly and attends bi monthly manager meetings as scheduled Qualifications Preferred: Stylist level 2+ Has a history of participation in ongoing education, staff meetings, etc Scheduled for 25+ hours/week Has displayed a belief in core values and mission Able to communicate company heart Exhibits and demonstrates leadership and leadership potential
