Director, Financial Planning & Analysis - Remote within Canada Heres What You Will Spend Your Time Doing Strategic Leadership Build, drive, and sustain a highperformance team through coaching and development. Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Westerns financial planning and analysis function. Strengthen Westerns financial business partnership model, positioning FP&A as a strategic driver of business insights and decisions. Foster accountability, collaboration, and transformation across Finance and business units. Model and communicate Westerns Guiding Principles, embedding them as the foundation of our inclusive culture. Financial Planning & Analysis Lead annual and ongoing financial planning cyclesforecasting, budgeting, and capital/resource allocation. Build and maintain financial models that incorporate revenue forecasting, commission structures, and claims analysis. Provide actionable insights to support investment decisions, operational efficiency, and business growth. Monitor financial risks, including market dynamics, interest rate changes, and insurance product performance. Deliver analysis that drives cost optimization and enhances financial integrity. Business Partnership & Advisory Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering strategic financial recommendations. Expand FP&As role across business units to support key initiatives and performance objectives. Provide insights that support Westerns insurance operations and strategic goals. What We Are Looking For Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnershipideally within financial services or insurance. Proven ability to lead and develop highperforming teams. Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and executivelevel communication skills. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment. Ability to influence crossfunctional stakeholders and drive alignment in a complex, evolving environment.
