Join us, and be the sparkle of our team!Job Title: Jr. Buyer/Buyer (Secondary Packaging/ Labels / MRO)Department: ProcurementWage Category: Annual Salary with BenefitsReport to: Sr. Supply Chain Procurement ManagerLocation: 165 Milner Avenue, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada M1S 4G7Job Type: Full-time / PermanentSalary: $45,000 - $65,000 per annumOverview: Reporting to the Sr. Supply Chain Procurement Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for supporting material cost management within master data, and assisting with new product development for secondary and tertiary packaging materials, labels, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies and services.Duties and Responsibilities: Packaging Materials (Secondary & Tertiary):Manage and upload quotations on to the system with the IT team.Support new material product development in secondary and tertiary packaging categories.Generate and Issue POs (e-mail) for materials needed.Manage project trackers for all sample requesting.Follow up & confirm ETA date for material & update ERP system.Monitor past due POs & contact suppliers for updates.Assist in obtaining proper paperwork to support receipts (CofC/CofA), as needed.Obtain quotes for new materials, including MOQ, lead time & price breaks.Assist in alternate sourcing of material, as needed.Other duties as assigned by manager.MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations): Creating purchase ordersFinding cost-effective sources for suppliesNegotiating with vendors and suppliers for pricing, lead times and qualityAnalyzing competing offersMonitoring inventory levelsKeeping excellent communication flows with internal departmentsOther duties as assigned by managerQualifications:With 12 years (junior level) or 35 years (intermediate level) of relevant experience College / University degreeMicrosoft Office Outlook, Excel, WordDetailed orientedGood Communication skill Verbal & WrittenGood Organizational skillKnowledge in paper carton and/or label packaging an assetDynamic, meticulous and effectiveAbility to perform multiple tasks in parallelExcellent team work skillsWe care for our employees: Convenient public transit (bus stop right outside the facility)On-site free parkingOn-site gymEmployee Health BenefitsCorporate Discount ProgramEmployer match for Group RRSP/DDSP Program Please note: Qualified candidates are invited to send the resume to our email: [email protected] .
