Paralegal Property Tax & LitigationOur client with a significant residential and development-focused property portfolio is seeking an experienced Paralegal (Property Tax & Litigation) to support its internal legal function.This role works closely with senior legal leadership and internal teams, handling a broad range of matters including litigation support, residential tenancy issues, municipal enforcement, property standards, zoning, and property tax disputes. The successful candidate will be trusted with sensitive files and expected to exercise strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.What Youll Be DoingSupport litigation and tribunal matters involving the Landlord and Tenant Board, municipal and zoning tribunals, property standards committees, and Small Claims CourtPrepare submissions, evidence, and attend hearings as a licensed paralegal where applicableManage files related to problematic or vagrant tenants, enforcement actions, and operational legal mattersLead property tax reviews, MPAC assessment analysis, appeals, and tracking of outcomesPartner with accounting and external stakeholders to reconcile tax data and assess financial impactDraft and review real estate documentation, including agreements of purchase and sale, amendments, assignments, and closing materialsConduct legal research and draft correspondence, affidavits, and tribunal filingsWhat Were Looking ForParalegal Diploma from an accredited institution; LSO licence preferred35+ years of experience in residential tenancy, litigation support, municipal or property tax mattersStrong understanding of LTB processes, municipal enforcement, and property tax assessment frameworksExperience in real estate, development, or property management environments is a strong assetHighly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing confidential matters independentlyThis is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to step into a trusted, in-house style role with exposure to complex, real-world legal and property matters.
