This role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time packaging of Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) products, while driving operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement.This is a hands-on people manager role, not a desk-based position.Key Responsibilities Packaging Operations & ProductionPlan, monitor, and control daily packaging activities to meet production targets, quality standards, and timelinesReview planned vs. actual production and adjust schedules as requiredEnsure availability of packaging materials, components, consumables, and spare parts across all shiftsDrive execution of new product introductions and technology transfers through gap analysisOptimize utilization of packaging equipment, consumables, and manpower Quality, Compliance & cGMPEnsure all packaging activities comply with cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirementsReview in-process controls and packaging documentation to ensure right-first-time executionLead and support investigations including deviations, OOS, OOT, complaints, and CAPAsPrepare, review, and maintain SOPs, BMRs, APQRs, validation, and qualification documentsSupport internal, external, and regulatory audits (including USFDA inspections) Equipment, Engineering & Continuous ImprovementCoordinate with Engineering and Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown resolutionMonitor OEE / OOE data and implement PDCA-based improvementsDrive packaging excellence initiatives to improve yield, reduce downtime, and minimize lossesIdentify bottlenecks and develop capacity utilization plans People Management & SafetyLead, train, and manage packaging teams across multiple shifts (15 direct / ~45 total staff)Ensure adequate staffing, shift planning, and effective manpower utilizationTrain teams on SOPs, GMP, safety, and new processesPromote a strong safety culture; ensure PPE compliance and safe work practices Education & Experience EducationBachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline preferred Experience59 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience in a cGMP environmentMinimum 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial roleHands-on experience with MDI (Inhalation) packaging lines is requiredDirect exposure to USFDA and regulatory auditsExperience with SAP and manufacturing systems is a plusRequired CompetenciesStrong knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging operations and MDI productsExpertise in GMP documentation and complianceProven troubleshooting, investigation, and root cause analysis skillsEffective leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaborationComfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environmentWorking ConditionsOnsite role in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentPPE required (gowning, safety equipment, respiratory protection as applicable)Shift flexibility, including occasional weekends or holidays based on business needsNo remote work available
