POSITION SUMMARYThe Video Editor is responsible for the assembly of recorded footage, music, dialogue and text into a final video.JOB QUALIFICATIONSDegree or Diploma in film, video production, communications or related (a combination of education and experience can be substituted)2+ years of professional experience working with video editing software (Adobe Premiere)Knowledge of Adobe CC products - After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media EncoderSolid understanding of basic visual concepts and storyboardingStrong eye for graphic design and typographyStrong troubleshooting skillsCurrent knowledge of relevant digital video technology and standardsPassion for technology and learningSuperior written and verbal communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of export settings and codecsJOB DUTIESEdit entertaining and compelling short form videos maintaining technical and aesthetic industry standards.Produce basic motion graphics, including text animation, simple transitions, and logo animations.Cohesively tell a story using tempo, transitions, music, sound effects, graphics, and voice.Adapt stylistically to work within existing brand parameters.Adhere to strict deadlinesManagement of digital assets ensuring proper labelling and file structure is maintained*Tag does not utilize artificial intelligence tools in its application, screening or hiring processes.*Is this posting for the purposes of filling an existing vacancy?
