In 2022, Mayzon was formed by merging Maytex, Zenith Home Products, and Decolin.About the RoleThe Senior Demand Planner is responsible for owning and leading the demand forecasting process for assigned national retail customers, with a primary focus on Walmart and other big-box retailers. This role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Channel, Buying, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver accurate, unbiased forecasts that support financial commitments, promotional execution, and inventory planning in a fast-paced retail environment.Own item-level demand forecasts for assigned retail customers, with primary accountability for Walmart.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain forecasts using historical sales, POS data, seasonality, promotions, modular changes, and item lifecycle events.Incorporate retailer-specific inputs including Walmart POS data, replenishment signals, modular resets, promotions, rollbacks, and new item onboarding.Partner with Sales, Channel, Buying, Finance, and Supply Chain to align forecast assumptions and demand plans.Lead monthly demand reviews as part of the S&OP / SS&OP process.Challenge and validate Sales forecasts using data-driven analysis and retailer insights.Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and forecast attainment, and drive continuous improvement actions.Support new product launches, line extensions, and item discontinuations with volume estimates and post-launch analysis.Identify and communicate demand risks and opportunities related to promotions, retailer behavior, and demand volatility.Translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.Qualifications510+ years of demand planning or forecasting experience, preferably in CPG, consumer products, or retail-focused manufacturing.Direct experience working with big-box or mass retailers (e.g., Walmart, Home Depot, Target).Demonstrated ownership of forecasts tied to financial commitments and KPIs.Strong understanding of retail demand drivers, including promotions, seasonality, and in-stock performance.Hands-on experience with POS data and retailer portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link or similar).Advanced proficiency in Excel, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners.Required SkillsExperience with S&OP / IBP processes.Familiarity with demand planning systems such as SAP APO/IBP, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, or similar.Experience leading process improvements or system implementations.Bachelors degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.Preferred SkillsImproved forecast accuracy and reduced forecast bias.Strong, trusted partnership with Sales, Channel, Buying, Finance, and Supply Chain.Proactive identification and mitigation of demand risks.Smooth execution of promotions and new item launches with minimal supply disruption.Pay range and compensation packageHybrid work environment.
