Description Introduction South Bay Chip Plant, located in New Brunswick, is seeking an Equipment Operator to support our fast-paced, 24/7 industrial production environment. Responsibilities What You''ll Do Safely operate chip processing machinery, log handling equipment, and conveyor systems to maintain steady production flow. Follow all safety procedures, complete hazard reporting, and participate in lockout and inspection routines. Conduct daily equipment checks, identify abnormalities, and support corrective maintenance activities. Monitor production quality indicators, adjust equipment settings, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Collaborate with operators, mechanical teams, supervisors, and control room staff while participating in cross-training to support operational flexibility. Qualifications What We''re Looking For High school diploma required; technical or mechanical training considered an asset. 25 years of experience operating industrial or heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, stationary machinery, chipper or conveyor systems). Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to work rotating shifts within a 24/7 production environment. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail with a commitment to safety. We encourage and expect flexibility, as the intent of this role is to develop the capability to operate all equipment on site. Experience operating mobile equipmentsuch as a log loader, fixed loader, large wheeled loader, or telehandleris considered a strong asset. What''s in It for You?
