Job Title LCV/B-Train Driver About This Role: Giant Tiger (GT Wholesale) is looking for dynamic individuals to join one of Canada''s largest iconic retail brands as an LCV Driver Reporting to the Transportation Manager and Supervisor and directed by the Tiger Trucking Dispatch, we are looking for an energetic LCV Driver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys challenges, and is team player. What You''ll Do: Experienced LCV Operators capable of doing runs between Windsor, Riviere-Du-Loop, and Parts of the Maritimes. Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks. The LCV Program is highly restricted in terms of the types and condition of the equipment used, the skill level of the driver and the prevailing weather/road and traffic conditions. Becoming a Giant Tiger LCV driver is a unique opportunity to be placed into one of the most demanding operating settings where drivers are held to a higher standard and the priority is on driving skill and the ability to be safe and considerate. Drivers who demonstrate good judgment, a committed professional approach to the occupation and exceptional driving skills are suitable for the position. What You''ll Bring: Excellent attitude and willingness to learn and excel. Valid Commercial Class drivers license with Air Brake endorsement. Minimum of 5 years provable Tractor Trailer driving experience (preferably with multi trailer or oversize experience) Have and maintain a clean Record of Driving At a minimum you must NOT have more than: 2 moving-violation convictions in the previous 12 months 3 moving-violation convictions in the previous 36 months Any driving related Criminal Code convictions in the past 36 months LCV Training will consist of but not be limited to the following: Pre-requisite online tests (Hours of Service Vehicle Inspections Air Brakes) In class training with a certified LCV Instructor followed by a final exam Practical training consisting of yard training involving but not limited to Coupling/Uncoupling Yard and Local driving to learn basic maneuvers with a certified LCV Instructor Highway driving consisting of minimum 1,000 km with a certified LCV Instructor Giant Tiger is proud to offer a Total Rewards package designed to support your financial security, health, and career growth.
