The Traffic Engineering Co-op will work with a dynamic team of traffic engineering / transportation planning professionals on a variety of projects including municipal traffic signal coordination, transit operation studies, traffic modelling, traffic impact studies, road safety analysis, and highway planning studies. Job responsibilities Job responsibilities will vary depending on the strengths of the potential candidate and opportunities available but will generally include: Traffic Operations Analysis Field Surveys / Observations Traffic Impact / Development Studies Signal Optimization / Traffic Signal Coordination Transit Operation Studies Microsimulation (Vissim/Aimsun) Safety / Collision Analysis Data Processing and Analytics Graphic / Mapping Required Skills: Technical writing skills Knowledge of traffic / transportation analysis tools would be an asset: such as Synchro, Vissim, Aimsun, EMME, Legion, and ArcGIS.
