The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a passionate Engineer to join our Albian Mine Tailings team. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in evaluating, developing, and executing projects. You will work closely with crossfunctional engineering teams, Mine and Tailings Operations, and other key stakeholders. In this role, you will help develop detailed project scopes, prepare cost estimates, review drawing packages, and coordinate the execution of tailings-related projects. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and costeffective operation of a worldclass mining facility, all while upholding Canadian Natural''s Core Value of Safety Excellence. Job location: Calgary, Alberta (with occasional travel to site) Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts Safety sensitive position: Yes Application deadline: February 10, Key Accountabilities: Lead mine tailings projects that support operations at the Muskeg River and Jackpine Mines, delivering results on time and on budget Understand longrange plans for Mining, Tailings, and Bitumen Production, and actively contribute to strategy development Develop and review technical designs and documentation to support short and longterm project objectives, following Canadian Natural practices and driving innovative solutions Complete frontend engineering work on key infrastructure projects, including barge and dredge relocations/replacements, fluid transfer systems, and related assets Develop project execution schedules, identifying resource requirements and constraints Collaborate with technical and operations teams to support efficient and effective execution of Mine Tailings Projects Prepare and manage annual budgets, identifying optimization opportunities throughout the year.
