This role will play a proactive role in developing, optimizing, and pricing strategies that enhance profitability, support business growth, and maintain competitiveness. This role will act as a strategic partner to the Sales and Procurement departments. RESPONSIBILITIES Partner cross-functionally to proactively identify pricing opportunities and risks, including cost fluctuations, customer sensitivities, and margin erosion. Monitor competitive pricing trends and lead the development of forward-thinking pricing strategies. Serve as a change agent in identifying process inefficiencies and recommending enhancements to improve responsiveness and accuracy in pricing decisions. Manage the pricing module and control any and all pricing changes within the ERP. Collaborate daily with the Accounts Receivable Analyst and VP of Sales to address pricing updates on open sales orders and urgent price adjustments. Provide real-time pricing insights and rapid turnaround on pricing decisions. Work closely with Product Development and Sales to review blend formulations, identifying potential modifications that increase margin while maintaining product quality. Conduct weekly reviews with Procurement to stay ahead of material, labor, transportation, and overhead cost changes, and recommend timely pricing actions. Evaluate the impact of pricing strategies on customer relationships and long-term value. Develop compelling, data-driven pricing proposals for new customers and items. Develop pricing tools and tailored proposals that equip the VP of Sales with high impact, value based selling strategies to win new business and protect margins. Collaborate with the Sales team to provide transparent, flexible pricing models and tools that support business development and contract negotiations. Communicate pricing rationale clearly and effectively to diverse internal stakeholders. Proactively seek opportunities to streamline pricing processes, automate workflows, and reduce manual work. Foster strong relationships across all departments, creating an open flow of communication and insight-sharing. REQUIREMENTS Post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certification (CPA, CFA) is an asset. Experience as a Pricing Analyst or comparable role, preferably within the Food Manufacturing industry. Strong financial acumen, with advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis. Advanced Excel and experience with Power BI.
