Join to apply for the Associate Procurement Specialist role at Irving Shipbuilding. Are you ready to play a pivotal role in one of Canadas most significant naval programs? Join our Inbound Logistics and Government Furnished Information and Material (GFX) Project Team as an Associate Procurement Specialist, where youll help manage the Operational Logistics aspects for ISI on the AOPS, Ship Repair and River Class Destroyer Programs. This is your opportunity to contribute to a high-profile part of the business supporting the future of naval capability. As part of our dynamic team, working alongside thirdparty providers youll ensure materials are delivered effectively to support all program and build activities. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendors, and subcontractors to maintain compliance and drive successful project execution. Responsibilities Material Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate material delivery plans to support production schedules and minimize shortages. 3PL Coordination: Manage daytoday interactions with thirdparty logistics providers to ensure timely transportation and delivery of materials. Delivery Scheduling & Tracking: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, track delivery performance, and resolve delays proactively. Supplier & Carrier Performance Management: Evaluate and manage supplier and carrier KPIs to ensure compliance with cost, quality, and delivery targets. Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational efficiencies in material flow, storage, and transportation processes. Qualifications Postsecondary education in Supply Chain and Logistics Program (preferred). Introductory knowledge of endtoend supply chain and procurement activities. Ability to complete assigned tasks, typically gained through 02 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
