Landscaper Kitchener, ON. Employment Type: Full-Time | Experience Level: Mid-Level Compensation:$22.00/Hour TheLandscaperis responsible for property enhancement, and seasonal maintenance of the residential and commercial spaces, ensuring both landscaping and snow removal tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a combination of technical landscaping skills and snow maintenance expertise to maintain safe, attractive, and well-maintained exterior environments all year-round. This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility in scheduling, especially during winter months when snow removal tasks are critical. The role may require evening or weekend work during snowstorms or when maintaining landscapes outside of standard business hours. Responsibilities Landscape Maintenance Perform regular tasks like mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and weeding to maintain properties. Care for gardens, plant beds, trees, and shrubs to keep them healthy and attractive. Operate and maintain landscaping tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems. Assist with seasonal planting and selecting plants suitable for the area and climate. Ensure efficient water usage through proper irrigation practices. Snow Removal & Ice Management Lead snow and ice removal for driveways, parking lots, and walkways during winter. Use snowplows, blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ensure safety. Monitor weather forecasts to anticipate snow and prioritize high-traffic areas. Apply de-icing agents to prevent slippery conditions. Follow safety standards for snow removal, especially in harsh weather conditions. General Maintenance & Facility Support Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and materials as required Assemble & disassemble office furniture Occasionally assist with painting & light maintenance work Support general property upkeep & improvement projects Key Attributes Skilled in using landscaping tools (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers). Able to operate snow removal equipment (e.g., plows, blowers, salting). Detail-oriented, efficient under pressure, and able to work independently. Takes initiative to identify and address needs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold during the winter months.
