The Opportunity Beam Radiology is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our growing clinical support team. This role provides essential support to patients and clinical staff by assisting with day-to-day operational and patient care activities in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging and interventional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with nurses, physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals, contributing to a safe, respectful, and compassionate patient experience. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Support Support patients before, during, and after procedures by providing compassionate, respectful, and professional care Deliver post-care instructions to patients as directed by healthcare professionals Administer first aid and medications as directed and within scope of practice Accompany patients and assist with safe transfers and mobility Clinical & Operational Support Assist nursing staff with monitoring pre- and post-procedure vital signs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment Hold and maintain working knowledge of procedures offered at Beam Radiology (training provided) Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care Documentation & Communication Assist with documentation in patient charts as required Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and team members Adhere to privacy legislation and confidentiality requirements at all times Additional Duties Perform other duties as required to support clinic operations and patient care Qualifications & Experience Required Active enrollment with the Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory Compliance with Alberta HCA regulatory requirements, including mandatory transition to College of Health Care Aides of Alberta (CHCAA) registration by February 2, 2026 HCA Certification Active BLS Certification Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Compassionate, patient-centered demeanor Knowledge of privacy legislation and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Calgary, AB prior to start date Preferred / Assets Previous experience in healthcare, clinical support, or caregiving environments Experience working in diagnostic imaging, pain management, or outpatient clinical settings Work Schedule & Environment Full-time, permanent role 8-hour shifts Day shifts primarily; evening shifts and weekends as required In-person role across Beam Radiology clinic locations Ability to travel within Calgary to all Beam Radiology sites is required Compensation & Total Rewards Beam Radiology offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes: Competitive hourly wages, commensurate with experience Overtime pay where applicable Comprehensive health, dental, disability, and extended health benefits RRSP program with employer matching Paid time off and statutory holidays Employee assistance program On-site parking Company events and team-building activities Why Join Beam Radiology A supportive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment Opportunity to work alongside experienced clinical professionals and subspecialty-trained radiologists Meaningful work that directly supports patient care and safety Stable, full-time employment within a growing healthcare organization Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Beam Radiology is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable workplace.
