Vacancy Statement: This posting is for an existing vacancy. Key Responsibilities Complete various field survey operations as assigned, including but not limited to: Total Station accurate set of angles and high accuracy levelling lops for Surface and Tunnel control network. Total Station/GPS surveys, lay-outs and As-Builts. Other surface and tunnel survey works as requested. Setup and configure survey equipment Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated. Helps maintaining and verifying the control network. Maintain accurate survey notes and records, documentation, and stamped submittals. Monitor work being completed in the field where surveying techniques are required. Communicate with operations, engineers and subcontractors to complete assigned tasks. Manage As-Built information and digital records. Maintain and follow health and safety requirements. Ability to work varying shifts as required by the project timelines. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment under different weather and environmental conditions including noise, dust, cold and hot weather, etc. Other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor''s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, professional licensure or certification in advantageous. 2-3 years of experience in land surveying, with proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the construction industry. Ontario Land Surveyor experience considered an asset. Proficiency in surveying instruments, software and geographic information systems (GIS). Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, land laws, and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Strong organizational, communication and time management abilities. Effective decision-making critical thinking skills.
