The Opportunity: An Electrical Engineering Technologist to provide technical support and expertise to Electrical Engineering and Electrical Apprenticeship programs. The incumbent performs repairs on complex electrical/electronic equipment, maintains organization and control of supply inventories and maintains records of electronic, electrical and computer equipment. The Electrical Engineering Technologist also builds, repairs, and tests projects used for lab instruction and provides technical expertise to department staff as well as demonstrates and provides assistance to students in labs. What you need to be successful: three year diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology Certificate of Qualification in the Construction Electrician (309A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) an asset Minimum five years'' experience in an electrical environment in areas of design, modification, troubleshooting, testing electrical or electronic equipment and systems. experience in motor control, motor drives, automation and instrumentation working knowledge of a variety of software including proficiency in Microsoft Excel strong commitment to academic excellence and student success strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment This is a full-time support staff position, 35 hours/week, Payband I $ $46.64/hour (starting rate $40.39/hour).
