PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER(HYBRID) CLOSES: Open Until Filled Be Part of Something Meaningful Join the Ta na wa Shway I7xw ta xwumixw (Planning and Capital Projects) Department, The Planning Analyst, reporting to the Planning Manager (Planning and Capital Projects), will support a range of projects including housing strategies, social needs assessments, policy studies, land use and regulatory planning, research, and community engagement. This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork. What You''ll Do Work closely with the Planning Team to support work on land use, housing, social, and regional planning. Conduct research and analysis; prepare memos, reports, and case studies. Help organize and attend community engagement activities (workshops, interviews); summarize and report findings. Prepare statistical materials such as spreadsheets, tables, graphs, and charts. Translate data analysis and technical research into clear, accessible reports. Assist with survey design, administration, and analysis (quantitative and qualitative). Coordinate meetings and events; prepare agendas and take minutes. Contribute to proposals and business development activities. What We''re Looking For Diploma, certificate, or degree in planning, geography, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered) but not required. Experience in planning or related fields, or equivalent education. Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset. Experience supporting traditional ceremonies/cultural practices is an asset. Knowledge of Squamish Nation, Squamish language (Skwxw7mesh Snichim), and First Nations governance is strongly preferred. Experience working with Indigenous communities, Boards, or government organizations is an asset. Cultural humility and respect for Swxw7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and strong connection to, the Squamish community. Salary: $ 62,500 - $ 87,500 Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range.
