Company Overview Quik''s Farm Ltd. is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over twenty acres of indoor and twenty acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. Quik''s Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce superior quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA. We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team. In this full-time role, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and supply chain coordination to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality procurement that supports overall business operations. Primary Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, and oversee the organization''s purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and production requirements. Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and long-term procurement strategies. Oversee the procurement budget to ensure alignment with financial goals. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team. Evaluate vendors on regular basis for compliance with quality standards, fulfillment capacity, pricing, and consistency of supply. Maintain strong, strategic supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitiveness. Manage vendor performance, resolve issues, and process claims as needed. Conduct sourcing analysis to reduce costs while maintaining required quality levels. Evaluate the cost and quality of goods and services to support business decisions. Analyze usage patterns, develop consumption models, and implement usage optimization strategies. Negotiate or oversee negotiation of purchase agreements, pricing terms, and supply schedules. Develop procurement specifications and documentation for tendering processes. Ensure contracts meet regulatory, safety, and organizational compliance requirements. Partner with Sales, Operations, Production, and Inventory teams to forecast demand and ensure supply continuity. Collaborate with senior leadership on procurement risk mitigation strategies. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (required). Minimum 35 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or sourcing role, such as Purchaser or Procurement Specialist. Experience leading teams and negotiating complex contracts is strongly preferred. Strong analytical capabilities for costing and sourcing evaluations. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software, data analysis tool and inMS Office: Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work well independentlyandas part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to take initiative on challenging assignments. A proven ability to develop lasting relationships with both internal and external customers. Experience working with horticulture or floriculture industries is an asset.
