The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for seasonal Lift Operators. This position is responsible for operating the chair and carpet lifts in a safe manner. They must be professional and courteous as they greet and assist the many patrons of Kinosoo Ridge Resort. Duties & Responsibilities: Operate assigned carpet lifts or fixed grip chairlifts across the ski hill in a confident, safe, and efficient manner. Assist guests with lift loads and unloads, and in the tube park through prompt and friendly instruction, and physical assistance as required. Direct guests appropriately while managing lines, checking tickets, and answering general questions. Assist with daily tube park setup and teardown. Maintain indoor and outdoor workspaces (snow shoveling, ice chipping, ramp repair, fence setup and repair, sign placement, lift hut cleaning, etc.) with an emphasis on efficiency and the beautification of public areas. Perform and document daily routine startup, mid-day, and shut down operational checks. Inform maintenance staff immediately of any unusual lift performance. Understand all emergency procedures and protocols. Act in designated roles during emergency situations. Maintain lift areas to meet applicable lift codes and guidelines with the guidance of the operations team. Recognize, document, and report hazards (current or potential) to the operations team and assist in the removal/correction action required. Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience in a customer service role will be considered an asset. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience operating ski lift equipment will be considered an asset. Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated. Have a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to assess pressure situations and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm. Strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to ski and/or snowboard will be considered an asset. Ongoing commitment to safety. Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
