The Company: We are a fast pace full-service Chartered Accountant firm with a young and energetic environment located near the Chinook area of Calgary. We service owner-managed enterprises as well as large, privately held organizations with global operations. We are a CPA training office for aspiring CPAs. The firm is experiencing continued growth and there would be opportunities for the candidate to grow within the firm as well. Intermediate Accountant Job Description: You will be assigned several files to juggle and independently work on them from start to finish under a tight deadline. Typical engagements will consist primarily of notice to reader financial statements, corporate tax returns, with minimal amount of assurance engagements. You will have direct contact with the clients so you must have a good sense of communication with high networth individuals. The clients will look for you through out the year with questions and problems that require your attention to solve. Service is our main priority. Technical tax questions will be asked all the time that require you to have a quick answer for the client on the fly. You are the partner''s go to person. You have seen and done all types of public accounting work and you will update him on all important firm matters. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate has done a minimum of 2 years of public practice, and looking to advance their career by taking on gradually higher complex work and completing their CPA training with the firm. -Advance knowledge with Caseware, TaxCycle, Jazz-It, GoogleApps -Advance knowledge of Sage50, QuickBooks Online & Desktop, Xero -Minimum 1 years public practice accounting experience -Communication skills able to explain technical ideas in practical manner -Excellent written and interpersonal skills when dealing with clients -Ability to establish and maintain client relationships -High degree of work ethics -Desire to grow with the firm and move upwards -Desire to enroll in or continue to complete the CPA program What we offer: Medical benefits Challenging environment Tight knit team setting Application Process: Send your Resume & Cover Letter and tell us why you''re a fit for this role.
