Overview We are seeking a dedicated IT Support specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer hardware, operating systems, and network troubleshooting, with excellent communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves resolving technical issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. The IT Support position offers an engaging environment for problem-solving and continuous learning within a dynamic team. Duties Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications across multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to computer networking, including LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations. Assist users with operating system issues, software troubleshooting, and hardware repairs or replacements. Manage service requests using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and help desk ticketing systems to ensure timely resolution of issues. Configure and support network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain secure and reliable connectivity. Support the deployment of updates, patches, and security protocols to maintain system integrity. Collaborate with team members on projects involving operating systems upgrades or migrations. Document solutions and procedures clearly for future reference and knowledge sharing. Communicate effectively with end-users to understand their needs and provide clear guidance or solutions. Experience Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with familiarity in troubleshooting hardware/software issues. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, VPN configuration, firewall management, and network security best practices. Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Windows (including Microsoft Office), macOS, and Linux distributions. Proficiency in using IT service management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for ticketing and workflow management. Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques across various platforms. Experience supporting remote users through help desk channels with excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems is a plus. Effective communication skills to liaise with technical teams and end-users alike.
