Senior Financial Analyst Westcan Bulk Transport Location: Edmonton The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America''s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Our Canadian Operating companies are Westcan Bulk Transport, RTL Construction, Les Distributions Carl Beaulac, and Fisher Transport KAG Canada Westcan is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team, with a focus on Risk Management, Project Accounting. Shift: Monday to Friday in office full time 40 hours per week. About the position: Risk Management Support the Claims and Safety Specialist in administering, negotiating, and tracking insurable losses across Canada. Assist with insurance applications, renewals, and ongoing policy administration. Compile, analyze, and interpret claims data for internal and external reporting. Assist in reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with insurance requirements. Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulatory requirements. Project Accounting Complete month-end project close procedures and prepare financial reporting for Management and the Executive Team. Support Project Managers during the bidding process by providing financial analysis and maintaining costing models. Report on project financial performance, including budget-to-actual and profitability analysis. Provide general accounting support for the Construction Company and related partnerships. Financial Planning and Analysis Prepare financial data and summary information for use in management reporting. Assist with the preparation of annual financial budgets and capex schedules. Measure financial results against budget and forecasts, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across reporting and forecasting processes. What you bring: Professional Designation (CPA or CFA) Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and advanced functions Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver management ready materials Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to produce clear, management-ready financial materials. Basic knowledge of insurance concepts and processes. Basic understanding of legal processes and documentation.
