Operations Manager Greentree Outdoor Living | Edmonton Greentree Outdoor Living is a growing, design-led outdoor construction company operating across residential outdoor living services. As we scale, we are seeking an Operations Manager who takes ownership, resolves issues decisively, and ensures the business operates efficiently, profitably, and professionally day-to-day. This role is suited for a calm, capable operator who enjoys solving problems, leading people, and taking ownership of business operations not someone who needs constant oversight. Position Overview The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution and operational control of Greentree''s active projects. This role ensures work is delivered according to plan, margins are protected, conflicts are resolved, and company assets and reputation are safeguarded. You will be trusted to make operational decisions, enforce standards, and keep projects moving without constant involvement from ownership. Key Responsibilities Operational Execution Oversee day-to-day operations across all active projects Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and schedules Ensure projects are executed according to approved scope, timelines, and plans Identify risks early and resolve issues before they escalate Cost Control & Asset Protection Ensure material orders align with approved takeoffs and project scope Monitor labour and material usage against project assumptions Protect company equipment, vehicles, and tools Reduce waste, inefficiencies, and unauthorized use of resources Conflict Resolution Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues involving clients, crews, and subcontractors Resolve disputes professionally, fairly, and decisively Maintain project momentum while protecting company interests Process, Payment & Accountability Ensure invoices are issued and followed up on according to company processes Enforce payment milestones and operational compliance Maintain clean documentation, communication, and handoffs between teams Uphold safety standards, SOPs, and operational discipline Leadership & Standards Hold site managers, crews, and subcontractors accountable to expectations Enforce company standards consistently and professionally Lead through clarity, follow-through, and calm authority Ideal Candidate Profile Background as an Operations Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, or similar role Experience in construction, landscaping, and/or trade-based operations Comfortable managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets Strong communicator who can handle difficult conversations professionally Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven Enjoys solving problems, leading teams, and taking ownership of operations Compensation & Opportunity Starting salary up to $70,000, depending on experience and overall fit Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to execution, profitability, and operational performance Clear authority and trust to run day-to-day operations Stable leadership environment with defined decision rights Opportunity to grow with a company actively scaling in Edmonton If you are someone who: Takes pride in running things properly Prefers responsibility over supervision Enjoys solving problems and leading teams Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $70,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Discounted or free food Flexible schedule Mileage reimbursement On-site parking Paid time off Profit sharing Store discount Work Location: In person
