Position Summary: The Hub Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and coordination of a NB-IYS Youth Wellness Hub''s daily activities and services. They provide leadership and supervision and promote interdisciplinary practice and collaboration. The Program Manager ensures quality care that is informed by youth needs and preferences and promotes continuous quality improvement through all systems and processes, in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator. They collaborate deeply with related health and social support services and other relevant community resources. They also participate actively in the NB-IYS'' provincial network and related working groups and events. This leader promotes recovery, youth centered care, and family inclusiveness to promote and advance excellence in hub operations, that is youth-centered and honors diversity of persons. They inspire and practice excellence. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates and leads the day-to-day hub operations. Coordinates staff scheduling and programming. Provides day-to-day supervision and support to all members of the IYS hub team, working closely with leaders of partner agencies and clinical supervisors. Collaborates with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure care or clinical process guidance. Ensures effective care planning and management and accountability to service partners. Directly supervises team members including performance evaluation and management. Nurtures a positive team environment of continuous learning, effective communication, and service excellence. In collaboration with the hub''s lead agency leadership, selects and hires new staff. Works closely with the NB-IYS provincial team to ensure effective communication, knowledge exchange, data collection and evaluation practices. Lead for philanthropic and fund development strategy and activities for the hub. Oversees development and implementation of new programming and services that contribute to resiliency and well-being Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as social work, nursing or counselling, or diploma in a relevant field, such as social work, community planning, or human services. Five years of relevant employment experience including leadership and supervisory experience. A combination of education and work experience could be considered together in the selection or potential candidates. Experience with multi-disciplinary health care teams and/or primary care a significant asset; Understanding of and passion for supporting youth and their families. Experience working in or directly with community organizations. Demonstrated experience with program implementation and development, or piloting services. Genuine commitment to service integration and improving service experiences for youth and their families. Experience with developing policies and procedures, designing and delivering services a significant asset. Satisfactory criminal record check and clear vulnerable sector search. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, decision-making and organizational skills. Proficiency in relevant computer applications (Microsoft Office and data or case management platforms. Knowledge of best practices related to community health, including but not limited to harm reduction, stepped care, trauma-informed care, cultural safety and youth and family centered care. Staff mentoring and development skills, ability to lead a positive working environment. Relationship and team building skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.; Excellent self-management skills in high pressure situations. Understanding of and experience with fund development, philanthropic engagement, and planning. Working Conditions: The workweek is 37.5 hours. Flexible work schedules may be required to meet operational requirements. Travel within the province and the service region is required. Access to reliable transportation is necessary. Work in various settings or in partnership with other health agencies is expected. Overview of Integrated Youth Services IYS is transforming youth mental health and substance use services in communities across Canada and helping to ensure that young people have equitable access to the range of services they need, when they need them. It''s a dynamic pan-Canadian and international movement that aims to build effective, youth-focused and integrated services for mental health, substance use and related issues. IYS is founded on key principles that can be implemented in different models across jurisdictions and types of communities. Principles of IYS include: Youth and family participation in the design and implementation of services. Integration of services (mental health, primary care, addictions, counselling, peer support, hospitals, education, social services, including housing, justice, employment) across service providers. Continuity of services for youth and young adults (e.g., 12 to 24 years) this can include integration of child and adult services that focus on this age group. Clearly identified, easily accessible points of care in the community that provide rapid access to services no service refusal, no referral needed, and access to high quality, youth-appropriate, evidence-informed mental health services (could be through integrated service hubs, safe spaces, schools, universities, etc.). Ensuring equitable access, including for vulnerable populations of youth, and culturally appropriate care. Stepped care models evidence-informed, appropriate levels of care, at the right time by the right provider to ensure efficient utilization of services. Incorporation of online portals and other technologies that facilitate alternative access to information and services. Strong research and evaluation to guide continuous quality improvement and measurement of the impact of the transformation of services. Many IYS networks across Canada focus on building models that integrate the following services: Mental health services (including psychological services and counselling), Youth and family peer support, Substance use services, Primary care (including sexual health), Employment, education & training supports, Social services (including housing), and a variety of recovery programs (e.g., recreation, the arts, life skills, etc.). All IYS services aim to be culturally appropriate, youth informed, relevant, barrier free, timely, and accessible. IYS is also based on building and growing a Learning Health System.
