Job Description

Job Duties Manage day-to-day customs clearance operations Ensure all documentation is accurately prepared for seamless client onboarding. Supervise documentation and customs team Coordinate with freight, warehousing, and client service teams. Ensure timely submission of all declarations/shipments Manage escalations, exceptions and CBSA queries. Maintain proper records for audits and ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations. Monitor KPIs (release times, compliance rates, client satisfaction). Provide guidance/support to junior staff and ensure they are up to date on customs procedures. Maintain and oversee operations platforms, ensuring regular monitoring, data accuracy, and optimal functionality to support project tracking and team collaboration. Serve as a liaison and provide coverage when needed. Resolve operational issues and escalate complex cases to the Director. Any other responsibility as reasonably assigned Requirements At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in Customs Brokerage, out to which 5 years in the supervisory capacity. Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) OR CTCS CBSA Professional Designation is an asset Strong knowledge of CBSA Regulations and the Canadian Customs Strong and current knowledge of ITMR4, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software Proven hands-on experience managing 3-5 operations staff. Commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape.
