Part-Time Fertility Phlebotomist Markham Satellite Clinic Category: Lab Location: Markham, Ontario Position: Fertility Phlebotomist, Part-Time Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 7:00am10:00am Job Description / Duties Pollin Fertility is currently seeking a reliable and patient-focused Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our team at the Markham Satellite Clinic. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care through accurate and compassionate blood collection in a fertility clinic setting. Core Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using proper phlebotomy techniques Ensure accurate patient identification and labeling of specimens Collect, process, and prepare patient samples (blood and urine) in accordance with established protocols Prepare specimens and manifests for courier transport to Dynacare Maintain a clean, safe, and organized phlebotomy area Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures Accurately document collections and patient information in electronic medical record systems Report any errors, incidents, or irregularities to the Laboratory Director/Supervisor promptly Participate in clinic safety and quality programs Promote a positive, respectful, and professional clinic environment Perform other related duties as required Qualifications / Required Skills Diploma in Phlebotomy or documented training in phlebotomy MLPAO Certificate (preferred) Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on phlebotomy experience, preferably in a clinical or fertility setting Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture and patient care techniques Strong understanding of patient identification, specimen handling, and confidentiality requirements Knowledge of legal and safety requirements related to blood collection Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong patient-service focus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional demeanor with a compassionate and calm approach to patient care Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications (Google Docs/Sheets an asset) Working Conditions Clinic-based environment Part-time position Monday to Saturday, 7:00am10:00am Early morning shifts required No evening shifts Compensation Hourly wage commensurate with experience Employer Profile Pollin Fertility is an emerging fertility and reproductive healthcare centre in Ontario.
