About the role: The Business Development Manager is a key revenue driver for Peoples Group, focused on accelerating growth across the Canadian fintech ecosystem. This role identifies and closes new opportunities in eTransfer, EFT, issuing, and related money movement solutions while expanding our presence across categories like crypto, expense management, remittance, neo banks and other verticals. The ideal candidate brings a strong sales mindset, ownership of revenue targets, and the ability to build meaningful relationships that lead to long term, high value partnerships. With a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, this role helps fintechs scale through Peoples Group capabilities. Success requires curiosity, collaboration, competitive awareness, and the ability to translate client needs into compelling commercial opportunities. About the day-to-day: Drive new revenue across eTransfer, EFT, card issuing, virtual accounts and BIN sponsorship. Develop and manage a strong pipeline with full accountability for monthly and annual revenue targets. Build high impact relationships across the fintech ecosystem and surface meaningful upsell and cross sell opportunities. Leverage industry research to identify where Peoples Group maintains competitive advantage and where emerging opportunities exist. Partner with senior leadership to design and execute strategic sales plans that support Canadian fintech innovation. Craft and deliver clear, persuasive proposals and presentations tailored to fintechs. Represent Peoples Group at events and conferences to elevate brand awareness and generate high quality leads. Work closely with product, operations, compliance, marketing and treasury to ensure alignment between client needs and internal capabilities. Monitor performance metrics and optimize strategies for sustained revenue growth. Stay informed on industry shifts, regulatory changes, competitive dynamics and new payment models. About the qualifications: 3+ years of success in business development, sales or partnership management within financial services or payments. Experience owning revenue targets with a track record of meeting or exceeding them. Strong understanding of money movement including settlement flows, issuing, acquiring and BIN sponsorship. Excellent relationship builder with the ability to influence decision makers and close complex deals. Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret client problems and convert them into commercial opportunities. Highly motivated, self-driven and comfortable operating in a fast paced and collaborative team environment. Bonus points for candidates who bring an existing book of business or have strong relationships in the Canadian fintech ecosystem.
