The Aquarius is seeking a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Handyman / Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our residential complex. This is a permanent, part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining clean and well-functioning spaces, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You will assist building management, concierge, and site staff with general maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and light repairs to ensure our property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (drywall patching, painting, door hardware adjustments, light plumbing/electrical tasks that do not require a licensed trade) Inspect and replace interior and exterior lightbulbs Ensure doors, hardware, and building systems are functioning properly Cleaning & Janitorial Duties Maintain cleanliness of all common and public areas, including hallways, courtyards, parkades, mechanical rooms, locker rooms, and vacant suites Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet and spot cleaning (including pet stains), pressure washing, and general cleaning Remove garbage and debris from all common areas Maintain cleanliness and order of garbage and recycling rooms, especially around statutory holidays Remove dog and wildlife droppings as required Exterior & Grounds Maintenance Skim and maintain the lagoon, including clearing intakes Pressure wash walkways, sidewalks, ramps, and entrances Perform leaf removal, landscaping support, and watering of plants, planters, and trees Conduct snow removal and apply de-icer as needed outside of contracted services Ensure paving stones are level and properly set Inspections & Safety Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, fire alarm logs, and security systems Keep accurate inspection and maintenance records Clean air vents and ensure filters are free of dust, debris, and grease Use ladders up to 10 feet to clean interior and exterior lobby windows, following all safety and WorkSafe guidelines Operational & Team Support Assist Site Managers and building management with work orders, purchase orders, inspections, and contractor coordination Support concierge and management teams during weekends Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and emergencies in a professional manner Perform other duties as assigned by building management What We''re Looking For Comfortable performing physical labour and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Experience with general maintenance, cleaning, or handyman work is an asset Ability to use basic tools and equipment safely Able to climb ladders (up to 10'') and follow safety procedures Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Strong time-management and communication skills Willingness to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 per week Work Location: In person
