Job Title: Manager, ADA Canada Position Type: 12 Month Independent Contract Reports To: WMC, Co- General Manager Department: ADA Canada Pay Rate: $40.00 - $43.60/hour Location: Toronto, Ontario. Canada A little bit about the role: As ADA Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day A&R responsibilities across Canada forADA as well as managing label and artist relationships. In this role you help ensure our strategic objectives within the distributed label space are exceeded by effectively managing artist/label partners and ensuring releases are delivered in a timely fashion. On the A&R side you will work to grow ADA''s presence in Canada by signing a roster of valuable artist and label clients. This will involve collaboration with several teams across ADA, including legal, finance, and label management . Here you''ll get to: Overview: Strategic Growth: Proactively identify and pursue high-potential artists and label clients across Canada, leading pitches that showcase ADA''s global infrastructure and tailored services. Deal Architecture : Partner with the VP of A&R and Finance to develop creative deal structures and funding models, ensuring competitive and sustainable offers for prospective partners. Pipeline Management: Maintain a rigorous database of active deal conversations and analyze pitch outcomes to continuously refine ADA''s value proposition. Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact during the acquisition process, ensuring clients are supported, informed, and seamlessly integrated. Executive Alignment: Collaborate with Warner Music Canada leadership to secure deal approvals from the President, ensuring all A&R activity aligns with broader company objectives. Label & Product Management Partner Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for a roster of Canadian labels and artists, cultivating strong relationships with managers and creators. Strategic Advisory: Provide expert guidance on digital platform best practices, consumption trends, and release strategies to drive growth. Campaign Execution: Collaborate with ADA''s digital, commercial, and global marketing teams to launch, elevate, and measure the success of release campaigns. Operational Oversight: Lead release setup meetings and coordinate with Finance and Operations to ensure seamless asset delivery and revenue tracking. Insights & Reporting: Translate streaming, social, and sales data into comprehensive performance reports and actionable optimization strategies. Business Development: Identify and secure value-added services, including radio, PR, sync, and brand partnerships, while representing ADA at industry events. A&R & Deal Acquisition Strategic Growth : Partner with the VP of A&R to identify, pitch, and sign high-potential artists and label clients across Canada. Client Consultation: Evaluate prospective partners'' goals and operations to provide tailored education on ADA''s services and global infrastructure. Deal Management: Lead the acquisition lifecycle, including pitch calls, financial modeling with the Finance team, and navigating complex deal structures. Pipeline & Approvals : Maintain a rigorous tracking database of all A&R conversations and coordinate with Warner Music Canada''s leadership to secure final deal approvals. Data-Driven Acquisition: Analyze pitch outcomes and market trends to continuously optimize the acquisition strategy. About you: Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in artist and label partnerships, with a deep understanding of the contemporary music landscape and cultural trends. Strategic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable ideas. Execution-Minded: Highly organized and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in time-sensitive environments. Data-Driven: Proficiency in data literacy and self-service BI platforms, with a focus on deriving insights to drive growth.
